SYLTHERM XLT heat transfer fluid is a high performance silicone polymer specially formulated and designed for use as a as a liquid phase low temperature heat transfer fluid with a recommended use temperature range of -150 °F to 500 °F.

SYLTHERM XLT fluid is essentially without odor and is low in acute oral toxicity. Additionally, it is not listed as reportable under SARA Title III, section 313. SYLTHERM XLT offers outstanding pumpability, low temperature heat transfer, and excellent thermal stability. These features make SYLTHERM XLT fluid a viable alternative to many organic heat transfer fluids, to include: chlorinated solvents and CFCs.

The -150 °F to 500 °F operating range of SYLTHERM XLT fluid makes it ideal for batch processing. Single fluid processing with SYLTHERM XLT fluid eliminates the loss of temperature control associated with multiple fluid systems and the associated process interruptions. The use of SYLTHERM XLT fluid in batch processing applications also eliminates system flush requirements associated with steam & brine and steam & glycol systems. SYLTHERM XLT fluid is not corrosive towards most metals and alloys that may be found in heat transfer systems.

This product is to be utilized in a closed, pressurized system, under inert gas blanket, with expansion tank.

The product is commonly used in single fluid process heating and cooling systems in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries, as well as oil and gas.
