Silicone fluid exhibiting highly stable, long-lasting characteristics, designed for use in the liquid phase at high-temperatures ranging from -40°F to 750°F.
SYLTHERM 800 fluid is a highly stable and long-lasting. This silicone fluid is designed for high-temperature liquid-phase operation from -40°F to 750°F.
The fluid is generally odorless and is low in acute oral toxicity. SARA Title III, Section 313 does not list SYLTHERM 800 fluid as reportable.
SYLTHERM 800 provides exceptional high-temperature stability, often capable of operating more than 10 years at 750°F without the periodic reprocessing or fouling problems associated with other heat transfer solutions. SYLTHERM 800 systems require no periodic venting; the low molecular-weight linear and cyclic siloxanes that result from the rearrangement in fact remain part of the heat transfer fluid without causing system fouling. Fluid life span is not impacted by the rearrangement that occurs within SYLTHERM 800 heat transfer fluid as it is not a degradation reaction.
This product is to be utilized in a closed, pressurized system, under inert gas blanket, with expansion tank.

Single fluid process heating and cooling systems in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries, as well as oil and gas.
Feature: SYLTHERM 800 fluid offers satisfactory thermal stability up to 750 °F.
Benefit: Reduced degradation, longer fluid life span.
Feature: SYLTHERM 800 fluid is pumpable at temperatures less than -40 °F.
Benefit: Reduced energy cost, reduced downtime.
Feature: SYLTHERM 800 is generally odorless and is low in acute oral toxicity. SARA Title III, Section 313 does not list SYLTHERM 800 fluid as reportable. The OSHA Hazard Communication Standard does not list SYLTHERM 800 as a hazardous product.
Benefit: Increased safety, lower regulatory risk.
Feature: SYLTHERM 800 heat transfer fluid, if properly maintained, can last at 750 °F for more than 10 years before replacement is needed. In systems operating at lower temperatures, longer fluid life can be expected.
Benefit: Longer fluid life span, reduced total cost of ownership.
